Alpha Tau Omega - Theta Theta Chapter of Illinois State University will be riding for Focus on a Cure in their annual Charity Bike-athon.. 25 members will ride From ISU in Normal IL to Eastern IL University this homecoming weekend of October 18th.
Matt Lettiere, a senior at ISU and member of ATO has a personal reason to make this ride for Parkinson’s. Matt’s father John was recently diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s disease. Like Michael J Fox John Lettiere was not satisfied with taking a back seat as this strange new intruder took over his body. John along with his wife Carol decided to dedicate their efforts to helping a local foundation make an impact in the Parkinson's community. Focus on a Cure Foundation for Parkinson's www.focusonacure.org was founded by Ken & Ann Glowienke following Ken's diagnosis of YOPD at the age of 38.
When asked about this venture Mr. & Mr.’s Glowienke both expressed their gratitude to the men of ATO for their gratitude and wish them a safe and successful ride.
