Oct. 16, 2008 - PRLog -- It’s no secret that the real estate industry has been struggling. All over the United States an increasing number of houses are sitting uninhabited and office spaces remain without tenants. In spite of the $900 billion the Federal Government has allocated to bail out special loans related to the housing bubble, stocks continue to plummet on Wall Street. Instead of wallowing in the gloom and doom, asset managers can analyze their current collective investments and look for effective ways to better manage those assets.

To help the property and facility industries stay afloat during the flood of current economic challenges, BOMI International is pleased to announce the 2009 release of their newly revised Asset Management course.

Before the course is released to the general public, BOMI is running a pilot course for quality assurance and to gain input from leaders in the industry, including the professionals enrolled in the November class. BOMI is giving students a unique opportunity for their suggestions to be heard and considered during the evaluation process.

An elite staff of expert representatives from IFMA, BOMA, Zeller Realty, and the past and present Chairs of BOMI, will collaboratively assess the material while instructing the course to a classroom of about 20 professionals. As leaders in the real estate and facility industries, the instructors have first-hand knowledge of the current status of the economy, investment analysis software, case studies, and how they pertain to an asset management plan. The instructors will focus on the fundamentals of asset management, and how to apply those principles in today’s business climate.

The four-day pilot course, which is co-sponsored by BOMA Chicago and BOMA Suburban Chicago, begins November 2 and ends with an exam on the 5th.  For $875 per individual, a $200 discount, BOMI graduates can earn 18 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points when they successfully complete the course and pass the exam. Students are encouraged to act quickly, as the number of seats is limited. Call a BOMI representative at 1-800-235-2664 to reserve your seat today!
