iDiagnostics was founded in June of 2008 upon the belief that HIV and STD testing should be universally available, inexpensive, and private. We believe patients should have an alternative option to expensive, time-consuming methods. These expensive, time-consuming methods account for the vast majority of HIV tests today.
Our mission is to help combat the spread of HIV, STDs, and other widespread diseases. We will accomplish this through ongoing testing, charitable work, education, and counseling. But most importantly, we will accomplish our mission by making our inexpensive, highly accurate, rapid diagnostic tests easily accessible to all groups within all socioeconomic levels.
Our flagship product is a rapid HIV home-testing kit. An HIV test is diagnostic test that determines the presence of HIV infection in human blood. Similar to a home pregnancy test, our rapid test gives results in as little as 3 minutes. Our HIV tests provide private, at-home testing, with fast and reliable results, without having to go to the time and expense of getting to a clinic or hospital to test (not to mention waiting days for results).
In the coming weeks, we will be offering a full battery of STD tests, including Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. We hope our entry into this market allows us to develop other rapid diagnostic tests for many common infectious diseases and cancers. These inexpensive, highly accurate tests are the future of medicine; iDiagnostics intends to pioneer their creation and distribution.
Though not approved by the FDA, our tests are approved and widely distributed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF. Our tests are manufactured to the highest quality standards, and our factories are fully certified by the International Standards Organization. Given the recent report by the CDC, stating that incidence of HIV in America is 40% higher than previously thought, we hope in the coming months/years they reverse their position on these private, hom-use, rapid diagnostics.
