Local mom takes matters into her own hands by creating a resource for parents with kids in Delaware County Pennsylvania. I found it a struggle to keep my kids occupied on the weekends says Tracey the creator of the blog “Fun Things To Do With Kids In Delaware County”. So I began speaking to other parents about how they found information. Unfortunately, there was no consolidated way to read about these events. So I set out to make the contacts at local library’s, children’s toy stores, the arboretum, the local orchard, and surrounding townships. Now people send me their events via e-mail.
The blog has grown to feature an events calendar, a map search of local playgrounds and other useful tools for parents in and around the Media, Pennsylvania area. I also added a list of local restaurants where kids can eat free. As a stay at home mom I know the value of a dollar. I would love to expand the blog to feature other tips to make it easier and cheaper for parents to feed and entertain their kids in my area.
