Wayne, NJ - Music is an ever evolving and changing art form that constantly pushes the envelope of what we know as conventional. And, the new sound of Reggaetech is no different. Several years ago when Latin and Reggae merged to form what we now know as Reggaeton, it spawned such artists as Daddy Yankee and Don Omar. Today Reggaeton is accepted and enjoyed by audiences throughout the world. Reggaetech is no less than the next permutation of the pulse pounding beat that makes people sweat in the clubs.
One of the founders of this new musical mutation is known as Quest, possibly one of the hottest new artists to come on the scene in several years and sometimes known as “The Father of Reggaetech” or “El Rey de Reggaetech”. By taking the root elements of Reggae, Reggaeton, and Latin and mixing them up with House/Techno beats, Quest has hit on something that is quickly seething through the New York club scene and slowly making its way through the rest of the music and dance world.
His debut album is in the works, but in the meantime, Quest has released a few demo tracks and has a video on YouTube (which has over 15,000 downloads!). The first one being a hot mix called Dale Jockie (Go DJ). This is the kind of track that gets the heart pumping and the blood boiling. Not to mention what it does to the girls! Go to any of the hot clubs in New York and just watch what happens when a Quest song is played. The gyrations of the crowd generate an energy that is as hot as the sun.
Quest is on the verge of embarking on a musical adventure that will certainly challenge the face of club music for some time to come. Keep an eye out for Quest and his debut album, as well as, fellow MojoMuzik artist Bori – an 18 year old sensation who is also about to rock the foundations of the Reggaeton world like it’s never been rocked before. Look out Daddy Y………Quest is in the house kid!
