Egypt spans North-East Africa and falls between town immense deserts, through which from south to north the Nile cuts a long valley of approximately 1,500 kms. Egypt is approximately 89% desert. From end Sept- end Nov (Egypt’s fall) the worst heat starts to subside and the tourist season hasn’t quite started, ensuring much more reasonable package prices. Dec-Feb is Egypt’s high season.
The official language of Egypt is Arabic, although most residents have a good knowledge of English.
