San Pedro, Costa Rica – Lejos learning was founded in 2006 to provide high quality live Spanish Language instruction over the internet with focuses on offering significant schedule flexibility, individualized teaching by dedicated individual live Spanish teaching professionals residing in Costa Rica.
In a market estimated at $3.4 billion per year for live tutoring of the Spanish language, Lejos Learning provides its students the freedom to choose their schedule and Spanish teacher on a weekly basis. Students study on their own with a focus to meet learning objectives, prior to scheduling their live class with their private teacher.
The students and the teachers interact one-on-one LIVE with voice-to-voice instruction. The teachers are professionally trained, experienced educators, which are native to the Spanish Language.
The curriculum for the Conversational Spanish Program is based on the ACTFL (American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages) proficiency guidelines which are based on more than 40 years of academic research on language learning best practices.
The program focused on Beginner and Intermediate level students with a conversational focus. Students will study vocabulary, situations, and verb development on their own, in a guided manner. Once they have met specific learning objectives, they will be prompted to schedule a live class to further reinforce their learning in an individual one-on-one class with a Private Spanish teacher, using Lejos Learning’s specially developed virtual classroom
