Barrett Strong the Detroit Legendary songwriter from Motown and the singer that made famous "Money (thats what I want)" has re-released 'Stronghold II' his latest album for digital distribution.

STRONGHOLD II shows the depth of the talent Barrett encompasses, his fantastic voice, the quality of the musicians and the spirit of truly talented craftsmanship. The re-release incorporates digital enhancement and tracks never heard before including "More than I am" and "Save Me from the Fire." Co-written by newcomer Eliza Neals, the duo works to bring the magic back to Motown. Barrett Strong decided to put the album on itunes for easy access and download for the new digtal music age to enjoy.

Writing songs since a very young age, he was introduced to Berry Gordy by family friend Jackie Wilson and began his work in the music business at the tender age of fifteen. His first big hit with the Motown label was 'Money,' which he sang himself. Strong then teamed up with another Motown legend, Norman Whitfield and the two became a dynamic songwriting and production duo that helped tailor songs to fit the unique talents of Motown greats Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Jerry Butler, The Dells, Chubby Checker, and many more.
