A ventilator is an automatic machine that mechanically moves breathable air into and out of the lungs and is used on patients who are unable to breathe on their own or are breathing insufficiently. Patients who need ventilator care are those who have suffered neuromuscular and pulmonary diseases, head traumas or strokes. Faia and Alla, who have a combined 16 years of experience, have been trained to manage the intensive care these patients need. They have hired specially trained staff at a ratio of one nurse to three patients to ensure the highest quality care possible.
Faia’s home, which is now open to new residents, operates under the name of Better Options for Elders AFH.
