Launches Blog on Luxury Home Building Future: “Green and Factory Fresh"

Douglas Cutler, a Wilton, CT architect has recently launched THE MODULAR BLOG online at http://www.TheModularBlog.com.

Douglas Cutler, one of the most celebrated modular architects in the nation, is known for his work in modular architectural design for homebuyers who want it all: style, energy efficiency and the cost savings. that come with a beautiful, factory-fresh home. Cutler has often been recognized by the media for his outstanding work including many articles in Better Homes and Gardens, Automated Builder Magazine, Building Systems Magazine and many other respected modular industry periodicals. A 5,500 square foot Cutler Modular built in Greenwich, CT was also recently featured on the cover of the prestigious Greenwich Magazine and his work has been recently featured on HGTV and Business Week.

Cutler has developed a line of over seventy-five modular plans to satisfy almost any architectural preference: Victorian, Contemporary, Colonial, Adirondack, Cape Cod and many more. Each of these homes can be viewed in detail on the Cutler website: http://www.modulararchitecture.com.

Most recently, the Cutler Modular’s incorporate the use of SIPs (structural insulated panels) which are known for their energy efficient properties as well as the cost savings for which factory built homes are famous. “The importance of green, energy efficient homes can not be overestimated going forward, ” says Cutler who has been lauded for combining outstanding design with lower construction cost techniques.

On his new blog, www.modulararchitecture.com, Cutler will write each week about the tremendous future of home manufacturing in the United States and why modular home building will be hosting the party.

“It’s time for a changeover,” says Cutler. “Stick built homes, constructed outdoors by bands of subcontractors are simply too expensive to build in this changing world economy. Stick built homes are built one piece at time and waste an enormous amount of energy when completed. Factory built homes with SIPs exteriors are snug and tight... keeping those monthly fuel bills down.

Doug Cutler’s architectural offices are located in Wilton, CT. (203) 761-9561
