Breathtaking pyrotechnic choreography coupled with a sweeping musical soundtrack, this event promises to be filled with plenty of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’. The five minutes firework display will blast off at 8:30pm with five spectacular scenes making up the display, during which 10,000 shells will be fired from two large barges accompanied by eight pontoons.
1Borneo’s Public Relations Manager, Chris Ho said, "The 1Borneo’s fireworks extravaganza will be another first in Sabah and 1Borneo’s historical milestone. The fireworks spectacular will complement the Sabah International Expo (SIE 2008) held in the hypermall. We are pleased to provide visitors with a highly professional event which focuses firmly on family entertainment provided in a safe environment."
With the influx of delegates from the 22 countries participating in SIE2008, 1Borneo is not just a destination for lifestyle pleasures and entertainment but also the best platform for foreign investments opportunity in Sabah while being put under the microscope at is hosts its first international standard event and simultaneously galvanise Sabah’s global status.
An estimated 40,000 trade visitors will visit the hypermall during the expo and experience the vast facilities and services the venue has to offer. SIE2008 will be formally launched by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the morning. He will later attend a welcoming state dinner at the newly opened, 1Borneo Ballroom.
