The Gaby Davis Foundation and Entertainer Zany Zack will be holding a “Magic & Music Show plus More!” fundraiser on November 7th, 2008 at Coquitlam Alliance Church Auditorium (2601 Spuraway Avenue, Coquitlam) from 6pm to 9pm in honour of what would have been Gaby’s 9th birthday. Hotdogs, sweets, games, prizes and Bell E. Buttons the clown will be on site to add to the fun filled evening.
“We are honoured to have Zany Zack perform for our event this year,” says Tanya Davis, Gaby’s Mom and Director of the Gaby Davis Foundation. Mrs. Davis goes on to say, “He has generously dedicated his brand new music CD and a special song in memory of Gaby and will be performing it the night of the fundraiser”. The money raised will go to help with items such as travel costs for families that need to seek treatment outside of Canada, other medical expenses not covered by traditional coverage and the day to day expenses that still need to be looked after in order to survive. “We know first hand what these families face. The costs to fight this deadly disease can be overwhelming and without a helping hand the worry can be very stressful. So that is what we are here for…to help”, says Guy Davis, Gaby’s Dad and Director of the Gaby Davis Foundation. “We want to remove a portion of that worry so that families can focus on what is most important… their child”, adds Tanya. Please join us on November 7th, and help us help families affected by childhood cancer. Advance tickets are recommended and are available by calling 604-464-GABY or visit (for one day only) the Gaby Davis Foundation booth at Coquitlam Centre (near the food court) on Saturday, October 18th from 9am to 5:30pm.
About the Gaby Davis Foundation
The Gaby Davis Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing support for children and their families throughout their cancer treatment. The goal is to help take care of some of the financial burdens these families may experience during their child’s cancer treatment. A cancer diagnosis can be emotionally and financially straining; taking some of the financial worries away will mean the world to the receiving family. It will mean more time to spend with their child, which is, in itself, a priceless gift.
