WakaWai.com Becomes National Partner with American Whitewater

PRLog (Press Release) – Oct 10, 2008 – WakaWai.com, a small online paddlesports retailer based out of Weaverville, NC, has become a National Partner with American Whitewater.  American Whitewater’s national partnership program is designed to provide national promotional opportunities for companies who support AW’s river stewardship work.  WakaWai.com feels this is necessary to help fulfill American Whitewater's mission "to conserve and restore America's whitewater resources and to enhance opportunities to enjoy them safely.

In this partnership, WakaWai.com has donated $1000 to AW so they can continue to protect and restore rivers, maintain a national inventory of whitewater rivers, monitor potential threats, publish information of conservation, make sure the public has access to these rivers and a voice in these matters to the appropriate governments.

"We here feel that this partnership is absolutely necessary, especially now with environmental issues,  gauges being in danger on the Tellico, access issues on the headwaters of the Chattooga and future issues that have not even come to the surface.
