Dating Violence ....It is what it is
The Queen Esther Movement has created a brochure that provides 3 stereotypical dating violence situations to educate girls on the snares, traps and pitfalls of this unacceptable action(s) that many girls are faced with and sometimes never tell anyone that they have been a victim of. Though often they keep quiet out of fear, some are ignorant as to what
Dating Violence is, it's effect on their emotional and physical health and the different types of violence that one can experience.
In the hip hop culture, males are encouraged to keep their *^#%! in check.
It is imperative that we instruct the girls in our influence that it is never acceptable for them to be pushed, pinched, slapped, grabbed with force or punched in any form or fashion.
The goal of this brochure is to make them aware of different scenarios of Dating Violence, what to do if you experience dating violence and give them a clear understanding that this is a crime and that they can obtain help from their local church, non profit organizations that support and assist victims of violence and websites that are exclusively to encourage them to not only avoid it, but refuse the signs of its impending arrival.
