“Harmony through conflict” is a mantra of The Buddah Maitreya. If these times are the conflict and Matta Ahtisaari a bridge, the harmony that waits should be global, communicative and pro-active.
The Nobel Prize was awarded to Matta Ahtisaari at 11:00 CMT on October 10, 2008. He is being honored “for his important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts". At a time when the globe is unraveling the ties each country has to another, as culture irons out its differences on the internet and the international climate crisis is addressed, negotiators and politicians, individuals and business owners alike can use Ahtisaari’s dedication to international peace as an example for their own conflict management and resolution.
Ahtasaari has received many awards in his life, for his dedication to Peace in Africa, he has received an outstanding achievement award from the government of Africa. Earlier this month, the UENSCO Peace Prize was awarded and yet the ongoing reward for the service can be found in the environment, our continued social development and the focus on International communication and peace. For the globe to progress, it will need more leaders with language, culture and intelligence, for today, we honor Matta Ahtisaari for setting an example to us all in selfless dedication to the globe.
