SANTA MONICA, CA – After two weeks and over two-thousand miles, the UK-based Jaguar Enthusiast Club (JEC) will complete their tour of historic Route 66. The completion takes the participants to the city of Santa Monica, home of well-known dealer Hornburg Santa Monica. The welcome celebration will take place at Bubba Gump Shrimp at the Santa Monica Pier, from 4PM to 6PM. Onlookers can see how the brand has evolved throughout the years as they enjoy a vast display of classic, exotic, and rare Jaguar models. Hornburg will also provide a new car display to complete the collection and cater to those interested in looking forward.
The Jaguar Enthusiast Club was formed in 1984 by members of other Jaguar clubs, for the enthusiast who not only used, but maintained or restored their Jaguar. The club hosts multiple events for its members throughout the year, publishes a monthly magazine, and boasts the largest selection of Jaguar memorabilia. For this event, the Club flew overseas from London to Chicago, where they would begin their highly-anticipated journey.
With the completion at Santa Monica, the Club was approached by Hornburg Santa Monica, a local Jaguar Dealer. “Being a Jaguar fan myself, I was compelled to get involved. This event will be like a moving art display, and we’re proud to be a part of it,” states Sue Blackledge, General Manager of Hornburg. The dealership will sponsor part of the welcome reception and present the club with a plaque, recognizing their achievement.
