Tomorrow Tase, the "preview" TV special that will feature wildly futuristic science that is far closer to reality than you would think, has named two newcomers to TV as the hosts. Scott Vogel and "Lana" Odenweller will host the TV special which will appear in two different versions. The first will appear online, while the second version will be syndicated to broadcast TV and cable. Production on the online version is complete, with post-production underway after a small hiatus.
The program follows a popular format, perhaps first best known in the form of the BBC mini series, Future Fantastic, hosted by Gillian Anderson of X-Files fame. Currently, the Science Channel has two such regular programs that follow similar subject matter - Beyond Tomorrow and Sci Q Sundays with Michio Kaku. The History Channel has their own as well - Next World.
Vogel and Odenweller are best known as collaborative artists, having had their work featured in a variety of exhibits and gallery shows. In the program, they are quirky and energetic hosts whose banter provides fun, and enjoyable intros to the various segments of the program that feature such topics as invisibility, unified field theories, time travel, parallel universes and the STDTS prototype for warp drive. It will also feature appearances by celebrity scientists Fred Alan Wolf and Ronald Mallett. The program is being slated to debut online in mid-November.
Because of the fresh-hip approach of the program and its exclusive, never before seen material, the program producers, The More/Kompressor, feel they will have a major hit on their hands. However, they are not releasing what the final name of the program will be.
