The Data Governance & Stewardship Community of Practice (DGS-COP) will host a free ‘Meet the Expert’ teleconference, Friday, Oct 17, 2008, beginning at 11:00 AM EST. This one-hour teleconference will feature Data Governance Institute President Gwen Thomas speaking on ‘Data Governance Leaders As Third-Siders:
The conference will focus on the Data Governance facilitator as an advocate representing the point of view of the enterprise as a whole. While business and technology groups resolve issues involving the structuring, storing, standardization, moving, transformation, displaying, sharing, or using enterprise information, this point of view is referred to as the ‘Third Side.’ During the teleconference, Gwen will present twelve distinct Third-Sider roles and techniques that facilitators can use as they help resolve data-related issues in a peaceful, productive, and politically neutral manner.
This teleconference will be free to both DGS-COP members and non-members but registration is required and attendance will be limited. To register for this event or to see the full calendar of DGS-COP events, go to http://www.DataStewardship.com and click on the link under ‘Hot Topics.’
