Silent Scream - The Vocies are no longer Silent
Florida Author Yvonne Mason has hit a nerve with her latest release Silent Scream the true crime novel about Florida's First Serial Killer who also happened to be a Martin County Florida Deputy Sheriff. Gerard Schaefer began his killing spree in 1966 and continued until he got caught in 1972 because he got sloppy.
His crimes covered several counties in the state of Florida and involved many many hours of law enforcement. Because of Gerard Schaefer the FBI started its profiling department. One of the men responsible for the beginning of that Department was FBI Agent Roy Hazelwood who has read MS. Mason's book. He has this to say:
