Get ready for Veteran's Day Parade on November 11. NYC Transit employees and other MTA agency employees will march for the first time in the Veterans' Day Parade set for Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Transit Veterans Association (TVA) a vounteer employee organization welcomes veterans, friends and families to join them as they join thousands of others in the parade. This year's theme is 'Legacy of Honor.'
"Thousands of our employees saved New York City on 9/11 as "first-responders." The tragic events of 9/11 led many of us to serve in the current war. So, the theme is an excellent fit for our workers whose lives truly reflect a "legacy of honor," said TVA co-founder Dwight Webster, LTC, USAR (Ret) NYCT/Buses.
