Hub's Visionary Photographers Blog Launches

PRLog (Press Release) – Oct 06, 2008 – Hub's Visionary Photographers is the fourth in a series of non-commercial blogs aimed at educating the newcomers to DSLRs and digital imaging in the most basic concepts of photography theory and mechanics.  

The original three blogs Hub's Camera, Hub's iDarkroom and Hub's Photography Tips walks visitors through the 100+ years of photographic evolution, jargon and acronyms to lay a solid foundation for becoming comfortable with their equipment and new found art form.

Hub's Visionary Photographers takes the next step and introduces beginners and students of photography to the images and wisdom of today's prestigious photographers, photo educators and photo authors.  The site is a collaboration of the best of the best and an ever growing public library of the thoughts and images from those who have created the pictures that inspire and move the world.

The initial Visionary contributions come from: Joel Meyerowitz, Andrew Darlow, Harald Johnson, Steven Katzman and Wayne Cosshall.

The Visionary Photographers project is managed by Tom Hubbard.  Tom was the former Director of the famed Time-Life Photo and Digital Imaging Lab at Time Inc. in New York city.  The industry friendships and conacts that he made at Time-Life and later at Hewlett Packard are the basis for this growing community of Visionaries.

For Hub's Visionary Photographers, Tom has set aside his keyboard and camera to become the site's "photo concierge" introducing beginners, students and lovers of photography to the elite of the photographic world.  Each participating Visionary is committed to promoting photography as art and nurturing the next generation of Visionary Photographers.

As with all Hub's blogs, this site is commercial free, no ads, no endorsements and no fees.  All you will find here is a wealth of information and inspiration from others who are dedicated to the advancement of photography.
