The Pooper Scoopers, Inc. Celebrates Milestone Anniversary

The Pooper Scoopers, Inc. celebrates five years in business. Established in 2003 by owner Kandra Witkowski in response to the demand for home yard cleaning service in Chicago’s suburbs, The Pooper Scoopers has been growing steadily since.
To celebrate the business milestone, The Pooper Scoopers will be holding a ribbon cutting open house Wednesday, October 22 at 4:00 p.m. at its facility located at 110-D Kirkland Circle in Oswego. The public is invited to attend and join the celebration. The Pooper Scoopers will also be distributing special gifts to all of its 3500+ clients. The gift will include dog treat samples and food samples, a magnet and brochure, and information the Howl-o-ween Pet Supply Drive to benefit ARF. The gift is Witkowski’s way of thanking clients for support over the years.

“I’m very excited about our anniversary!” Witkowski states. “A lot of companies don’t make it five years. A successful five years is even better! When the economy strengthens, I’ll have an even bigger foothold in my marketplace.”

“As a small business owner myself, I understand that ‘over and above’ customer service is what keeps customers happy,” raves The Pooper Scoopers’ first client, Brian Basilico of Aurora.  “That’s why I’ve been a client of The Pooper Scoopers and Watch Dog Pet Sitting for over five years.  I had a different service before, and they were erratic as to when or even if they’d show up.  TPS is more reliable than our mail!  They show up every week, even in the snow, and do a great job.  While they scoop, I can deal with my business, and I spend less on their services than I do on coffee for those meetings!”

After opening in 2003, The Pooper Scoopers quickly grew, acquiring such other businesses as I’ve Got the Scoop! in 2004 and then branching out into pet provisions by acquiring Good Life Pet Foods in 2005; renamed Pet Provisions Direct, this branch of the business provides home delivery of high quality pet foods and treats. The Pooper Scoopers, Inc. currently makes over 3,000 visits monthly, and Pet Provisions Direct sells 3,500 pounds of dog and cat food each month. The Watch Dog Pet Sitting branch of the business was launched in 2006. Watch Dog purchased Home Is Where The Hound Is! pet sitting in July of 2007 and currently does about 2400 pet sitting visits each month. Watch Dog is a member of National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and Pet Sitters International. The service area encompasses the entire Chicagoland region. The Pooper Scoopers, Inc. is a member the Association of Professional Animal Waste Specialists and the Oswego Chamber of Commerce. The entire corporation employs a staff of 22 workers.
