Ashworth University has been selected to participate in the Community Hope Outreach Program Corporation (CHOP) "CHOP It Up/UBASH Weekend”. The event is designed to promote post-secondary education among local high schools. As a part of this service project, CHOP is a college fair on the Clarkston campus of Georgia Perimeter College on October 3, 2008.
This year's event will be attended by nearly 400 high school students from Cedar Grove, Clarkston, Cross Keys, Lithonia, Redan, and Stone Mountain high schools.

CHOP is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and improving the awareness of high school students to the administrative processes and procedures associated with applying to and attending Colleges and Universities. CHOP is devoted to helping students start the journey toward continuing their education and planning for life after high school by providing students with information about scholarships, financial aid, and the college life experience as well as assist them in completing admission applications and SAT/ACT test registrations.
