Oct. 1, 2008 - PRLog -- Filmmaker Steven C. Barber, recently seen alongside Governor Schwarzenegger at the Universal Studios Celebration Parade of Olympians, will now visit with George W. Bush in the Rose Garden at the prestigious gathering of Paralympians and Olympians. Mr. Barber will be concluding his two-year journey of tragedy-turned-triumphant with the Dan Aykroyd-narrated film “American Paraplegic.”   This highly anticipated, sought-after documentary is being reviewed by Discovery Communications, Oprah Winfrey Network, the Sundance Channel and HBO. The inspiration of this film came when Mr. Barber reached out to a Los Angeles paraplegic named Geoff Erikson who needed sponsorship for the world's longest wheel chair race called Challenge Alaska. JP Dejoria, the CEO of Paul Mitchell, ultimately became the sponsor for the race. Mr. Barber filmed this amazing story of 28 paraplegics who pushed their wheelchairs 267 in 6 days. The journey led Mr. Barber to the Beijing 2008 Paralympics and now will end at the White House early October.  Please go to http://www.AmericanParaplegic.com  and http://www.VanillaFire.com

Mr. Barber also just finished his second film, “Return to Tarawa” and is being narrated by the legendary actor Ed Harris. Please go to  http://www.ReturntoTarawa.com
