– Thermal Balance Brake – Largo Fl. President Michael Tardif announced the company’s first ongoing test on school buses in the state of Florida. Tardif said “After extensive independent testing and the completion of the SAE test J2115 well over a year ago, we were approved to start testing with the Sarasota school district.” Tardif’s company started doing tests on school buses over a year and a half ago and was the first to company in the country to extend the life of school bus drums. “I guess it just took them a while to hear about us from all the other states that were already using us” Tardif said.
“At the time when we started to use our Thermal Balance Process (patent Pending) we knew nothing about the SAE J2115 test”, Mike Tardif said, “but we have come to learn that it is a test each brake drum manufacturer has to go pass”. The company was not sure what to expect from the results of a test of the processed parts, but the results were much better then they could have ever anticipated. “We found our drums were over 300 degrees cooler than any drum that ever passed the test. And as far as we know we are still the only company in our industry type to pass this test.” said Tardif. At the time of the test, Thermal Balance Brakes had been processing brake rotors for police vehicles for several years. Their rotors were getting between 2 – 4 times extra life, and the stopping power was much better than the police officers ever expected. (see testimonials at www.thermalbalancebrakes.com)
Thermal Balance Brakes was founded over a year and a half ago. When asked about the origin of Thermal Balance and the Thermal Balance process he explained that he was formerly a minority partner with ‘self proclaimed leader’ in thermal cycling who is also located in the area. “I sat back one day and watched what was happening I felt like I was working at a cryogenic Walmart; there was not a thing that came in the door that the my partner did not turn down, and no matter what it was, it was run the same way. I just felt this company would never go anywhere without someone with better leadership at the helm, and without machines that were computer controlled”. Today Thermal Balance Brakes is totally focused on brake drums and rotors and nothing else, and has developed and implemented state of the art Thermal Balance machines that are controlled by a proprietary program. This is the dawning of a new age for a company, an industry and many satisfied clients.
