Music Industry Online Presents New Music Seminar
New York, N.Y. (September 10, 2008) Music Industry Online is pleased to announce its New Music Seminar, which will be held on Saturday, November 1st in Cleveland, Ohio. Setting a precedent, The New Music Seminar will be the first of its kind held at the Crowne Plaza Rocks and other venues throughout the Cleveland area.
The New Music Seminar targets artists, managers, producers, entertainment entrepreneurs, record labels, production companies, and more. The goal of Music Industry Online’s New Music Seminar is to EMPOWER, CONNECT, and EDUCATE those individuals interested in pursuing a career in the music business by providing an opportunity for participants to interact with key business professionals in the vast career fields the industry has to offer.
The New Music Seminar is a two day itinerary filled conference that will consist of a keynote speaker, various panels, workshops, artist showcases, live performances, listening/networking sessions, and pre/post events.
The keynote speaker and panelists will discuss and debate some of the most talked about and controversial issues in the music industry today. Panelists will include some of the world’s top industry and forward thinking executives. Some of the New Music Seminar’s confirmed panelists are:

The New Music Seminar is also offering hands on interactive workshops with genre focused sessions (Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, R&B). During these workshops participants have a chance to ask experts questions they may have regarding the music business. This is an opportunity for individuals to gain concrete knowledge and insight on the business behind the music, legal publishing, licensing issues, and more.
Networking and matchmaking sessions allow rising entrepreneurs to meet, greet, and connect with potential future business partners.
Listening sessions will be set up and serve as an outlet primarily for artists to have their music played and critiqued in front of influential A&R’s, and considered for placement on a record label, video game, TV show, or film.
