Lunarline, Inc., has launched a new training program to transition Information Assurance (IA) and Information Security (IS) professionals from Director Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/9, 6/3 to Committee on National Security Systems Instructions (CNSSI) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Lunarline will offer three courses. The 1-day Overview course will provide IA stakeholders, leadership, and management with a basic understanding of the CNSSI and provide an overview of RMF. The 3-day In-depth course will provide a complete process overview with a hands-on exercise to develop the security accreditation package. The 5-day Validator course will provide a full review of all of the CNSSI 1253/A controls and the methods and associated evidence required to show IA control compliance. The 5-Day Validator course will also include hands-on testing instruction using DoD-approved automated scanning tools. All courses will provide a basic over of all the CNSS Instructions (CNSSI 1199, CNSSI 1237, CNSSI 1253, CNSSI 1253A, CNSSI 1260, CNSSI 1239, ect.) and the methodology IA stakeholders should employ to successfully transition into the new process.
