Sept. 27, 2008 - PRLog -- Q. You said you wanted to give McCain some strategy to use before the debate. If you had the opportunity what would you have advised McCain to say?

Imperato: John McCain is a senator first. He is on the government payroll so he should have told the American people that his first responsibility and reason for suspending his campaign was to do his duty and protect America.

In the debate last night he should have reminded voters that there were no attacks on American soil since 9/11 and this financial war is similar to 9/11.

If I were the one debating Obama I would have said some mistakes have been made, so it is obvious that I cannot follow President Bush. We need a new direction. We must learn from our mistakes. We can’t look back. We must look forward. Nobody knows but God what is coming. But the best example comes from experience. Because history repeats itself. The worse disaster in our history caught Bush by surprise. But as I have said in the past, it was the Democrats and the Clinton Administration errors in nonchalantly addressing the 1993 bombings with Abdul Rahman that allowed the terror cell to continue building strength for the 9/11 attack.

I would have said directly to Obama, Monday morning quarterbacking isn’t in America’s best interest. As the saying from Missouri goes, ‘Show Me, Don’t Tell Me’. Actions speak louder than words. Now show me your track record.

McCain should have asked Obama, what is the most difficult problem he had ever solved? What is his best achievement? When the commentator asked the candidates to speak to each other, those should have been the questions.

Q. You have quite an extensive international business background. Were you satisfied with the foreign affairs discussions in this debate?

I. Pertaining to the discussion of dealing with Ahmadinejad and Iran, it was clear that Obama spoke incorrectly about Dr. Henry Kissinger’s insistence on talking. Kissinger supports meetings to be conducted at the secretary of state level, not the presidential level.

It is sad that the media has already allowed Ahmadinejad to get on national American television. Allowing him to address the American people directly live on Larry King compromises our position. Especially considering that those in the mainstream media will not allow us independents to be on their program.

Q. You offered a 10-point alternative to the proposed bailout. What would be your advice to these candidates on why they should adopt your suggestions?

I. This financial situation is a continuation of 9/11. The terrorists intended on crushing America and getting control of its markets. Previous investors in the US economy were the Japanese and Chinese. Now it is the Middle East, especially the Qatarian fund. Why? Because Bin Laden shorted the markets and squeezed America. Enron was right in playing the energy futures markets. But they were crushed by regulations. Qatarians were their biggest partner. What happened after the Enron fiasco left others wondering about energy futures. The Middle Eastern investors used Enron’s plan against us. Now that financial 9/11 has hit, the bottom fishers will come in and buy up and control the finances.

I would also have asked Obama where are our enemies? They are overseas. We don’t want them here in the US. So it is vital that we have the leadership and experience. A president with no foreign policy experience – or a track record of leadership – our country will be doomed.

I size up these two candidates like this. Experience is the best teacher. In most situations age and experience will yield more stability and responsible decision-making. Obama showed with his body language and his interruptions that he cannot take criticism. He can’t stand tall because he does not have a backbone. I compare these two candidates as follows: rift and reward.

Obama is rift with inexperience. McCain is very experienced. I compare Obama to Jimmy Carter. He was born in the Panama, then gave away the Panama Canal. Obama’s background emanates from Kenya, so he will be guided from his roots which display an open, nonchalant and out of control demeanor. That approach will bring us closer to a third world nation.

McCain is due to receive his reward in life: the honor to once again protect America’s way of life. He has proven over and over that he is a true American so we can count on him to protect us and use his years of experience to do so.

The most frequent sound bites of the night were “look at the record” and “I agree with that”. Because he could not answer a question immediately, Obama would buy time stating he agrees with John. Once again here is where his inexperience causes him to hesitate, dodge and think before he makes a decision.

*The interview series with Daniel Imperato continues with further insights on the campaign and his ideas on energy policy and home heating next.
