All I Want for Christmas are Some Ice Skates

Sept. 29, 2008 - PRLog -- Charles had never seen ice skating before. He stood at the edge of the rink in silence, too intent on watching the skating to speak. Charles and the Christmas Skates is a true story about author Charles Macnamara when he was a little boy. In the 1990s, Alice Macnamara, Charles’ wife, joined a writers group in their town. She remembered hearing Charles tell their children about some of the incidents that happened to him when he was a child of 4-7 years of age. She took one of those incidents and put it into story form. It was very well received so they decided to make a children’s story out of it. Now retired, Charles and Alice live in Ajijic, Mexico, where they continue to write more books about the character Charles.
