Drilling Congresswoman Representing The 47th District

Do you want a pro drilling congresswoman or an anti drilling congresswoman representing the 47th district?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 26, 2008 -
Meet Rosie Avila, Republican Candidate, ready to take on Democrat Loretta Sanchez

Rosie Avila has already committed to full oil drilling including ANWR, in oil fields off our coasts and for oil shale so we can be relatively oil independent.

Loretta Sanchez cast a key vote when Nancy Pelosi shut down congress to prevent action on a Republican Oil Drilling Bill. Pelosi then cooked up the silly bill to allow drilling outside of 50 miles from the coast with state approval and no incentive for the states to approve of drilling. This bill was cooked up by the radical environmentalists to continue their fight against drilling while providing cover for the Democrat candidates.

Loretta Sanchez is vulnerable on this issue as she is opposing 75% of the voters. She is also vulnerable for other reasons as well.

We can beat Loretta if we can get the money to properly fund her campaign. We have set up a good ground campaign with a strong precinct organization.

We have a legislative program that Rosie is supporting that we believe will play very with the voters.

Our opponent has taken out papers to run for governor which should be a huge negative for her.

Loretta has taken contributions and supported two Muslim organizations who are under investigation for ties to funding of terrorists.

She has taken contributions from the environmental extremist movement and has carried water for their causes which including preventing of drilling and nuclear power.

Rosie is a pro business, pro family values candidate. Her opponent is a very liberal democrat who votes the way Nancy Pelosi wants.

We need funding for a number of things such as the following:

Each Mailing costs about $40,000
We have a bill right now for $3600 for lawn signs
We have an opportunity to get Rosie’s literature inserted in a  magazine that will cost about $4000 if we can move quickly
We hope to be able to run some political adds in the newspapers.
We would like to run adds on talk radio stations that serve the area.

All of these efforts require money. And Rosie really needs help from people and PACS that share her views.  Our competitor will have about $1,000,000 to spend but she will try to conserve it for her run for governor.

Rosie also supports consideration of putting  one or more nuclear power plants in the oil shale areas to provide steam for the in ground retort process where steam to injected into the ground to liquefy and vaporize oil to bring it up as pressurized gas and with somewhat conventional wells. This same facility can most likely produce electricity as well. The oil and vapor brought up can be sent via pipeline to Texas for condensing and refining using ocean water for cooling. This will allow an environmentally friendly operation with minimal environmental impact in the oil shale area. We believe this nuclear facility would provide steam to a number of oil companies who would drill for the oil and share capacity in the pipeline. This concept also minimizes the burning of fossil fuels to generate steam which has the net result of producing more oil as none of this oil would have to be burned to make steam.  Extra CO2 will not have to  be emitted into the atmosphere from the steam production operations. Rosie would have an open mind to new ideas to help solve our energy problems and would convene experts to evaluate the best ways to recover oil shale..

We truly believe we can win this election if we can raise funds to get our story out to the public.  We can do this with your help. Please send checks made out to Rosie Avila Campaign Fund and mail them to Carol Bowen, Treasure at 1070 South Via Del Rosa, Anaheim Hills, CA 92807
