Asbury Park, NJ - Madison Marquette is proud to announce that Alison Moyet is bringing her solo performance to The Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park on October 11th. Wrapping up a surprising and exhilarating reunion tour with her former group YAZ, this is her first US tour in over 14 years.
For many area residents who grew up as young adults in the 80's, just hearing Moyet's beautiful voice and songs conjure up so many memories of High School first crushes, heartbreaks, old friends and summer nights on the Jersey Shore.
With the release of her 7th solo album, The Turn, Alison Moyet will grace the stage to adorning fans with her sultry and bluesy voice that helped make her one of the U.K.'s greatest talents, and helped shaped decade of the 80's.
This tour will not only show Moyet performing selections from The Turn, but also pull from her vast catalogue including Alf (1984) which garnered her first U.S. Top 40 single with "Invisible", Raindancing (1987), Hoodoo (1991), Essex (1994), Hometime (2002) and Voice (2004). All of which amassed a variety of awards for Moyet as a solo artist including 2 BRIT Awards and a Grammy nomination.
