Asbury Park, NJ - Madison Marquette proudly announces the second annual Asbury Park Fall Antique and Art Show to be held at Convention Hall on Saturday, October 11th from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday, October 12th from 9:00am to 7:00 pm. The public is welcome and admission is free.
Trailblazer extraordinaire and the coordinator of this year's show is Kathleen Banks. Ms. Banks is also the owner of Corazza, an eclectic antique shop on the newly redeveloped boardwalk in Asbury Park. Kathleen exclaims that "This year's show will be a little different than most shows of its type". She has gathered some of the most unique art and antiques dealers, collectors and craftspeople to offer their pieces for sale to the public in historic Convention Hall in Asbury Park. There will be upbeat music, vendors and fun surprises for all who attend.
Among the 50 or so vendors scheduled to set up shop for the weekend, some of them will be offering Vintage Jewelry, furniture from every era, and beautiful art of all mediums along with many decorative and collectible items. One of a kind lighting fixtures not available anywhere else will also be part of what is sure to be a weekend of shopping for that one piece you absolutely "must have".
Kathleen Banks has been part of the Asbury Park scene for many years and started her business on Cookman Ave. with her shop Trillium. She states she had no idea how she ended up in Asbury Park, but she just knew, "it had to be Asbury Park". Trillium became the springboard for her introduction to the people at Madison Marquette, the redevelopers of Asbury Park. She was inspired to create a whole new boutique on the boardwalk and named it Corazza, which translates to shield. Kathleen began with a shop that is "modern, but infused with glamour". Business has been stellar and shoppers are making return trips weekly. Kathleen is a graduate of The Yard School of Art in Montclair; she not only shows her talent in her own shop but is sure to pull off an Antique and Art Show for the public that will leave them wanting more.
Kathleen Banks and Madison Marquette invite all of you to make a day of it. Walk the "boards", experience art, music, shopping, dining and rediscover the excitement of the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
