Join the Book Fair Safari
WHAT: To encourage reading, to build classroom libraries and to help raise funds to support our students, Candlewood will host a Scholastic Book Fair on October 10-16, 2008 from 11 am to 7 pm. Families, teachers, and the community are invited to attend the Book Fair, featuring a fun theme: Book Fair Safari!
WHEN: The Book Fair will be held in the Candlewood Media Center M-Th, October 13-16, 2008 from 11 am to 7 pm.
WHERE: Candlewood Elementary is located at 7210 Osprey Drive, Derwood, MD 20855.
MORE: The Book Fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, including new releases, award-winning titles, children’s classics, interactive software, adult books, and current bestsellers from more than 100 publishers. A special family event featuring Safari stories and cool treats will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at 5:00 pm.
Book Fair customers may help the school build classroom libraries and improve children’s reading skills by purchasing books through the Classroom Wish List and One for Books programs.
