Singapore – Today, Wacom Co., Ltd. announced new measures to strengthen operations in its fast growing Asia Pacific region. Under the new measures, logistics operations for the Asia Pacific region will be based in Singapore. Shipments of Wacom products to its subsidiaries and distributors in Oceania, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Taiwan will be carried out from this location, giving Wacom more flexibility to react to changes in emerging markets. Specifically, the location of the logistics base gives Wacom greater access to respond to the fast growing Indian market.
A new Wacom Customer Support Service will also be set up in the first week of October near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new service will serve customer support issues in Oceania, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Taiwan, and provide customer support in English and Chinese. The expansion of Wacom's Customer Support Service program in Asia Pacific reflects the growing customer base in the region.
In Taiwan, Wacom also plans to upgrade the status of the Taiwan branch office in October to a fully owned subsidiary overseeing marketing efforts in Taiwan and communications with Wacom Components customers.
With an average yearly growth of over 30%, Asia Pacific is one of Wacom's fastest growing regions. The Asia Pacific region for Wacom encompasses subsidiaries in Korea, Taiwan, Australia and Singapore shipping to distributors in 12 different countries.
Local phone numbers to the Wacom Customer Support Service can be found on the Wacom Asia Pacific website and local country websites in the beginning of October: www.wacom-asia.com/
