DATCU Receives Five-Star Rating from Bauer Financial

PR Log (Press Release) – Sep 22, 2008 – Although the recent state of economy has caused some events in the banking and mortgage industries, DATCU Credit Union is proud to note that we have not been effected.  Bauer Financial awarded DATCU Credit Union with its highest rating of five stars.  Federally-insured credit unions are required to file detailed financial reports with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) four times each year, and BauerFinancial subjects this quarterly data to an unbiased and independent analysis. Based on the results of this analysis, a star-rating is assigned on a scale of zero to five stars, with five stars indicating a "superior and recommended" rating. And, as BauerFinancial states, "no institution pays for its rating, nor can they elude it."

Business is great.  DATCU Credit Union has reserves and capital twice the regulatory limit. This is important since deposit insurance only comes into effect after an institution's reserves are used. Our delinquencies and losses remain far below the industry norms.
