Optelian is in a hurry to announce a breakthrough in the speed in which new xWDM systems can be delivered based on Quick-Quotes and LightGAIN Quick-Turn Custom Passive Optics.

Quick-Quotes is one aspect of Optelian’s industry-leading service portfolio. Experienced sales engineers, using Optelian’s network design software, provide optical transport solutions typically within a day or two. “Our customers tell us how professional and comprehensive our designs are. They find the shelf layouts, optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR), and power consumption estimates especially helpful,” continued Mr. Mills.
As every network has unique requirements, Optelian has developed a process to create and ship custom passive optics typically in two weeks. Optics can be 1-10 wavelengths, CWDM, DWDM, OADM, uni- or bidirectional, using filters, circulators, splitters and other passive options. Custom form factors can be LGX® cassettes, Optelian shelves, or a choice of several splice trays. Connectors can be LC or SC. All Quick-Turn Custom Passive Optics are hardened with the option of a 1310nm wavelength for overlaying new systems on existing networks, and handy faceplate monitor taps for verifying installation and traffic.
With the wavelength flexibility of LightGAIN’s SFP/XFP or tunable transponders, custom xWDM systems can be quickly created.
