Teacher Appreciation Event at MOSI

A special preview of all that MOSI has to offer for the school year! Friday, September 26, 2008 2 – 7 p.m.

WHAT:   MOSI is offering all Bay Area teachers FREE admission on Friday, September  26. Bring your family and enjoy an afternoon of exploration in MOSI exhibit galleries, The Saunders Planetarium and the IMAX® Dome Theatre! Join MOSI’s education staff for fun-filled science demonstrations. Learn how to integrate MOSI into your future lesson plans and why MOSI is the “must see” field trip this school year.

   The *Teacher Appreciation event includes FREE admission to MOSI exhibit galleries, discounts in The Science Store, food specials in the MOSI Café, and a FREE IMAX Dome Theatre film screening of Fly Me to the Moon or Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa ($4 for each additional family member, per film).

WHO:   With a total size of over 400,000 square feet, MOSI is the largest science center in the southeastern United States, and home to the only IMAX® Dome Theatre in the state of Florida. Kids In Charge! The Children’s Science Center at MOSI is the largest children’s science center in the nation. Disasterville, featuring WeatherQuest, combines education and 10,000 square feet of interactive exhibits on the science behind natural disasters.  MOSI’s newest permanent exhibition, The Amazing You, explores the intricate world of the beginning of life, childhood, and adolescence developmental life stages.
