WebDriven Wins 2008 Web Marketing Association Web Award for JDRF Promise to Remember Me

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 18, 2008 - BOSTON  - WebDriven (http://BeWebDriven.com) has received the Standard of Excellence award in the Non-Profit category in the Web Marketing Association's 12th annual WebAward Competition for Web site development. WebDriven is a full-service web development and design firm with offices in Boston and Washington, D.C.

The Promise to Remember Me website (http://promise.jdrf.org) was created for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) principally as a platform for recruiting advocates for meetings with Members of Congress across the United States to help secure funding for diabetes research.  
 
An interactive, dynamic Flash map on the site's homepage allows site visitors, advocates and other stakeholders to track progress near-real-time from the Promise database as meetings were scheduled and/or completed. The public site also included a blog (with RSS feed) which offers notes of encouragement from Promise leaders and other supporters like recording artist Elliott Yamin throughout the campaign; and a welcome video from Mr. Yamin, who served as the International Celebrity Advocate Co-Chair for the Promise Campaign.
 
The management application allows JDRF staff and grassroots leaders to coordinate communications, scheduling and logistics with volunteers behind the scenes. In addition, meeting managers can post meeting summaries and upload photos.  Each of these summaries can be shared with friends and family via e-mail.  A public Flickr photo gallery was also created to share many of these photos with an even broader audience.
