Local Auto Repair Company Offers Relief To Hurricane Victims

Sept. 18, 2008 - PRLog -- Advanced Auto Repair, a Texas-based company that provides auto repair services, is offering employment in the Denton Area to displaced auto repair mechanics from the area affected by hurricane Ike.  In addition Advanced Auto Repair will help source jobs for mechanics from the affected areas, which are willing to relocate.  If we can’t hire them, we will do our best to place them with our local competitors.

According to Tommy Nickelson, President of Advanced Auto Repair and Advanced Tire & Repair, “the real damage from this hurricane is just beginning to be felt, and I believe it will affect the entire nation. I have pledged that my company will lead the charge for the victims, and we will offer support to them and their families. This hurricane could have just as easily caused more damage here, and we would be the ones needing support. It’s our responsibility to help our neighbors. I believe that by providing this support we can make a big difference in the lives of children, and their families. We have decided to dedicate our time and resources to this worthy cause. Our clients are excited about it and so are we. The Denton Area community has been very good to us; this is simply a way to give back, when so much has been given to us.”

In addition to Advanced Auto Repair hiring displaced mechanics, donations to the Red Cross will be accepted at either one of their 2 locations. People wanting to help this relief effort should stop by during normal business hours (Monday thru Friday 8:00 - 5:30, Saturday 8:00 – 4:00) .
