Sept. 17, 2008 - PRLog -- An expert in Reproductive Gynaecology and Infertility joins Monash IVF Brisbane this month, bringing more than two decades of worldwide experience.

Professor Bruce Dunphy takes up the senior role of Medical Director of Monash IVF, Queensland clinic.

Committed to maintaining the already high quality of care standards at the clinic, he will be responsible for co-ordinating all medical aspects of this leading program that provides the latest in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART).

In the past, he has held senior reproductive and gynaecological positions  working across three continents, including North America, the United Kingdom and Australia

Educated in the United Kingdom at Oxford, St Mary's Hospital and the Harris Birthright Centre for Reproductive Medicine, his area of specialty focuses on all causes including hormonal, male factor, conditions requiring surgical treatment and those requiring assisted reproductive technology such as IVF.

Professor Dunphy will conduct RACGP accredited education seminars (http://www.monashivf.com/default.asp?action=article&ID=21907 ) in October this year for General Practitioners on the identification and treatment of the Polycystic Ovaries, which is currently the leading known cause of infertility in women.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome affects 5 percent of all women who are of child bearing age, regardless of race or nationality.
