“CCMAD has recently undergone extensive renovations and the result is a surplus of products and materials that can benefit the general public and private contractors, says Andrew Cary, Administrator. We have an abundance of residential and commercial items such as sinks, vanities, cabinets, desks, office cubicles, kitchen prep tables, deep fryers, ovens and stoves all for just pennies on the dollar.”
CCMAD (the feeding arm of Adopt-A-Block, Inc.) was established to help eliminate hunger in the state of Maryland. On January 23, 1992, war was declared on hunger, and since that day outreach centers, soup kitchens, churches, and local government agencies have joined together to feed poverty-stricken residents in Baltimore City and the State of Maryland.
CCMAD food distribution program solicits stores and distributes food products donated by supermarkets, wholesalers, food processors, local farmers and community food drives. The food is then distributed to our network of more than 125 member agency programs including shelters, soup kitchens, church and agency pantries, schools and community organizations. CCMAD distributes nearly 3 million pounds of food per year.
