"It's not like all those generic movies that get released every year. Ones with expensive special effects but little in the way of tense drama and likeable characters,"
It's like transporting yourself to a new reality, where you treat the characters as your own friends or foes and locations like Hogwarts as your second home.
Based on the best-selling young adult novels of J.K. Rowling, screenplay writer Steve Kloves intends to keep viewers entertained.
"A movie should be suspensful, riveting and leave you pining for more," Turner explains. "That's why I recommend Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. One moment it will be light and humorous, the next dark and mysterious, and it's sure to be thoroughly enjoyable."
Until recent years, speculative genre movies were beginning to rely too much on CGI and not enough on substance. Movies like this one are correcting the balance. It offers the best of both worlds.
There's a new Harry Potter movie in town and it's due to hit cinema's worldwide in 2009. Expect movie-goers to flock there in droves.
