The Storyteller’
s Book Store will host an afternoon discussion and reading about flowers and honeybees on September 20, 2008, 1-2pm. Join us at 1:00pm for a discussion by beekeeper Jimmy Chalmers and gardening expert Anita Stone. Storyteller Drew Bridges will be reading Honey in a Hive by Anne Rockwell and other stories for children about bees.
Meet Jimmy Chalmers from the Front Porch Apiary in Oxford, NC, who will have live honeybees for you to look at and learn about. Jimmy Chalmers has given demonstrations on the benefits of honeybees and also has honey for sale at the Wake Forest Farmer’s Market.
Anita Stone, author of I Never Met a Flower I Didn’t Like, has been published in numerous gardening magazines including BARK, NC Signature, Countryside & Small
Stock Journal, Acres USA, Grit, Fifty+ Magazine, Carolina Woman, The Herb Quarterly, Herb Companion, Backhome, House, Home and Garden among others.
