DEEP OSCILLATION® EVIDENT SPORTS: PhysioPod‘s Product Launch in the UK at Holistic Health 2008 -

Non-invasive, non-traumatic and highly effective, DEEP OSCILLATION® therapy is based on the biologically effective oscillations created in the treated tissue using a patented system of electrostatic attraction and friction. In contrast to other therapies, this therapy does not heat the tissue nor does it electrically stimulate to get results and so it can be used safely over implanted pins and plates. The pleasant oscillations have a gentle and deep-acting effect on all tissue components (skin, connective tissue, muscles, blood and lymph vessels) without causing any pain to the player or patient during a treatment.
Used pre/post surgically; swellings can be relieved considerably faster than with traditional therapies. Healing processes are stimulated and accelerated, local inflammation is inhibited and pain is reduced over a sustained period.
In training aftercare DEEP OSCILLATION® is known for its rapid, muscle–relaxing and pain-relieving effects and for its direct effect against muscle ache. Roughage and cell remains are removed more rapidly and lymph flow is stimulated, resulting in a quicker supply of essential nutrients to the cells of the muscles.
Simple to learn and easy to use, DEEP OSCILLATION® therapy penetrates 8-12 cm depth and is applied through vinyl gloves as a massage or with special hand-held applicators (the method of applying is a personal choice for the therapist and patient, both are equally effective).  Different sized applicator heads ensure localized treatment as well as over a large area.  Easily interchangeable treatment membranes or just a new pair of gloves guarantee a hygienic application.

Individual treatments can be stored locally or on re-recordable therapy cards for continued self-treatment on the ward/physiotherapy room and as self-treatment at home. The therapy cards are easily read in the handy sized, portable and battery operated DEEP OSCILLATION® PERSONAL SPORTS.  This enables treatment, according to the therapist’s specifications to continue at home and guarantees the sustainability of the treatments until the next therapist applied treatment.

The control unit fits magnetically onto a gliding trolley, enabling easy movement of the device. The trolley's functional accessory drawer allows storage of accessories and accessing them whilst treating with one hand is easy to do.

DEEP OSCILLATION® is used worldwide in various fields of application and although it is relatively new to the UK (PhysioPod UK Limited are the Sole UK distributor) it is quickly gaining an excellent reputation as an effective treatment for injuries, supplementing and intensifying other existing forms of therapy.
