Bridging business and dance was always a passion for Barzvi since losing her brother Guy Barzvi, a Cantor Fitzgerald employee, in the 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks. The loss of her father in 2005 further encouraged her to start her own dance studio to help heal the wounds of the attack and bring New Yorkers together in the spirit of dance.
“I wanted to honor my brother and find a way to bring business and dance together,” Barzvi said. “That inspired for me to create this cutting-edge program to bring people and teams together to be stronger and more effective.”
The Team Building Through Dance program focuses on developing four key business needs using the art of dance – developing team synergy, increasing communication, enhancing creativity and developing a goal-oriented team.
“Dancers first learn individual steps and how to master them and then get a chance to dance with everyone else in the group to break the ice,” Barzvi said. “Then we combine all of the individual learning together to create a choreographed dance together as a team.”
