The IndieAuthor Guide, A Comprehensive Reference to Self-Publishing and Managing Your Career in Indie Authorship, is now available in Kindle format. The trade paperback edition of the book was released in May of this year and has been very well-received, with an average Amazon customer rating of 5/5 stars. According to author April L. Hamilton, “I wasn’t initially planning to release a Kindle edition of the book, because it’s heavily illustrated and at this point, graphics are very difficult to manage when converting a manuscript for the Kindle. I knew the book would lose a lot of its value if the images were removed.”
After receiving numerous inquiries about an electronic edition of the book however, Hamilton elected to forge ahead with a Kindle version. “I decided to update and revise the book specifically for the Kindle audience,” said Hamilton, “with embedded hyperlinks and a greatly expanded section on dealing with graphics when formatting a manuscript for the Kindle. And of course, I preserved all the images from the trade paperback edition.” She adds, “Since I firmly believe ebooks are an important element in any indie author’s career plan, I’m very pleased to be able to offer The IndieAuthor Guide in a Kindle edition at last.”
