SilenciX cell lines are target-specific silenced cells. They are produced as ready-to-use validated models, thus enabling researchers to focus on their experimental work without having to first construct the tools required for their studies.
Guaranty of target-specific knock-down at RNA level is at least 70%, cell lines produced so far mostly show over 85% silencing. Design of shRNAs is powered by the new DSIR algorithm for the prediction of RNAi efficacy and off-target blast screening.
The innovative technology is based on non-viral transfections of non-integrative vectors. The episomal vectors are maintained tethered to the host chromosomes, at a very low copy number per cell.
Nadia Normand adds “The SilenciX technology allows long-term studies, consistent large cell supplies and high reproducibility in experiments, with no additional stress related to cell transfections”
All these benefits make SilenciX cell lines reliable tools for target validation and drug discoveries in Life Sciences.
The presentation given by Nadia Normand entitled “SilenciX Cell Lines: Opening a New Era in Silencing” will be given on the third day of the congress (September 18th) at 9am.
