Industria today announced the Zignal Software Development Kit (SDK) intended to help customers and third-party developers create new applications for the Zignal IPTV user interface, integrate with external support systems or simply enhance the Zignal framework infrastructure. The Zignal SDK consists of the following four main components:
1. Branding and Themes Toolkit, which allows service providers to change colour themes or rearrange the layout of their current user interface, based on the current functionality.
2. Application Development Kit, which allows new applications and Widgets to be created, or existing applications to be extended.
3. Platform SDK, which allows for changes in the server infrastructure.
4. Integration SDK, which provides descriptions of integration methods for all of the Zignal’s Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

The Zignal SDK helps service providers to extend the services they offer in any way that mostly suits their specific needs and addresses their end-users’ requirements, by means of developing new applications in a fast manner. This naturally increases their value proposition towards their end-customers and applies especially to those who want to offer new, sticky and innovative services like for example, providing status updates information for friends, similar to those that social networks are offering. Quickly and easily add new functionality
