SHEFFIELD HOME OF THE WORST DRESSED WOMEN IN THE UK
A celebrity fashion website has revisited a previous study, and found that women from Sheffield are now the worst dressed in the entire UK, with 53% stating that they couldn’t care less about fashion, pushing previously top-placed Plymouth into second. 16% of women from Sheffield thought that fashion-favourite Cheryl Cole was an actress.

Sheffield is home to the worst dressed females in the UK, according to a study of 4,502 British females, with only 27% of people stating that they took ‘pride’ in their appearance, and 53% stating that they ‘couldn’t care less about fashion’. 16% of those polled from top-placed Sheffield thought that current fashion-favourite Cheryl Cole was an actress not a singer, and 68% thought that the ‘Aggy’ was a type of dance.

Third placed Middlesbrough spent the least on fashion and clothing; whilst Londoners are perhaps unsurprisingly the most fashion conscious Brits, with 79% of women aged 18-45 claiming to take pride in their appearance. Cheltenham is the 2nd most fashion conscious place in the UK, with each female resident spending an average 21% of their wages on their appearance and 72% of people ‘proud’ of their appearance.

The nationwide study was conducted by www.MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk, who specialise in helping users find clothing worn by celebrities through high street and designer labels.

“We conducted the study as we thought it would be a bit of fun, but also highlight the areas in which to market, based on public perception there of fashion.

“We plan to conduct the same survey annually, and are committed to helping the public follow the best fashion trends and steal their favourite celebrity’s style. After all, celebrities are the public face of fashion, and are often trend-setters themselves.”
