Some of the Philadelphia region’s top pretzel makers will once again come to Independence Mall in hopes of claiming the title of the city’s best doughy delight. Local celebrities will be in attendance to assist in the decision-making regarding this year’s categories. Awards will be presented in five categories: Best Traditional Soft Pretzel, Most Interesting Shape, Best Decorated Table, and new this year, Best Pretzel Topping and Best (fastest) Pretzel Twister.
This event is a way to celebrate the famous Philadelphia treat and showcase the top pretzel-making talent in the region. Samples of the competing pretzels will be available for both visitors and locals at the Independence Visitor Center.
This is just one of many ways that Independence Visitor Center is inviting tourists and locals to experience a piece of Philadelphia. Guests are encouraged to step inside the Visitor Center to learn even more about all there is to do in the city and region
